uBlock Origin for Safari: Does It Work?
June 30, 2026 · 4 min read
Searching for uBlock Origin on Safari? You will quickly hit a wall: uBlock Origin is not available as a proper Safari extension. Apple uses a different content-blocking system, so you need a blocker built for Safari.
How ad blocking works on Safari
Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac supports content blockers — apps that hand Safari a list of things to block. It is a different design from Chrome extensions, which is why Chrome blockers do not carry over.
A native Safari ad blocker
All Block has a native Safari app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It blocks ads and trackers across Safari, loads pages faster, and uses less data and battery.
Set it up
- Install the All Block app for Safari from the App Store.
- Enable it in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions (or Safari settings on Mac).
- Grant access to websites, and you are done.
If you also use Chrome or Edge, All Block works there too, so your ad blocking follows you across devices.
