How to Turn Off Your Ad Blocker (and When You Shouldn't)

July 3, 2026 · 4 min read

Sometimes a site asks you to turn off your ad blocker, or a page breaks and you want to check whether the blocker is the cause. You usually do not need to disable it everywhere — here is how to do it the right way.

Turn off your ad blocker in Chrome or Edge

  1. Click the extension icon in the toolbar.
  2. Toggle it off, or choose to pause it on the current site.
  3. Reload the page.

Turn it off in Safari

Open Safari → Settings → Extensions and untick the blocker, or disable it for a single site from the address bar.

A better option: whitelist instead of disabling

Instead of turning your blocker off completely, add the sites you want to support to a whitelist. You keep blocking ads everywhere else and only allow them where you choose. All Block has a one-click whitelist for exactly this.

Want ad blocking you can control site by site? Add All Block and use the whitelist when you want to support a site.
